They're adorable, they're [maybe] adoptable and they're the most interesting thing we've ever seen -- but should we take them home?

Sometimes, we don’t pick them: they pick us!

If you’re going to adopt a wild animal, there are things you should consider in advance.

Foremost among them: Local Laws and what you have to do to be/stay in compliance. Trust us, the life of your ‘adoptee’ may well depend upon it.

Rescues are available when you discover a wild animal in distress, whether injured, orphaned or otherwise in need of human intervention — but some people find themselves drawn into adopting one of these ‘wild ones’.

It may well be your ‘cup of tea’ but, some animals will educate you about genetics and behavioral instincts so — as wisdom admonishes — ‘know before you go’.
